We collaborated with Marketwave and Mothers Against Drunk Driving to raise awareness and increase both walker and sponsor participation in 2008 for their signature fundraising walk – Strides For Change. Imaginaria and Marketwave worked together to rebrand the fundraiser Walk Like MADD, supported by the tagline “To Eliminate Drunk Driving.” Brand materials included the logo, brand guidelines, collateral materials, ad campaign, outdoor and event signage. A reference toolkit for the walk sites included scripts for PSAs, press releases, media advisories and talking points. The team also used grassroots marketing to increase awareness by wrapping mannequins at local retailers in Walk Like MADD T-shirts. Through its branding and outreach efforts, walker participation increased by 40 percent and funds raised by 27 percent over 2007. Walk Like MADD also received more than 170 media hits and nearly 15 million impressions.
